All suites at our Shenandoah Valley Bed and Breakfast are large and spacious, some with 11 foot ceilings. Many have fireplaces, and all have a large private bath. Each suite is named after a president. All suites are decorated with authentic antique period furnishing, except for the beds which are double, king, and queen size. The Woodrow Wilson Suite |

The Woodrow Wilson suite has just been restored to its original condition with color coordinated period drapes, bedspread, matching furniture, and Wilson memorabilia. The suite, which is accessed by a beautiful walnut main stair hall, has tall windows providing breathtaking views of Smith Creek on one side and the mountains on the other. It is "very presidential." The Wilsons, who were friends of the family, were frequently at Rosendale. Sleeps 2 |

Restoration of the Joseph Salyard Cottage--named after one of Virginia's most eminent teachers and scholars who taught at Rosendale in the 1860s was completed in 2005. Franklin Delano Roosevelt Suite |

The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Suite is presently undergoing restoration as part of the "FDR living history project." When work is completed on February 15, it will feature 1-2 large rooms with rich walnut and oak trim: a fireplace: and period furniture: queen size beds, FDR memorabilia : and a large bath area incorporating a luxurious bath lounge, Sauna, double showers, and the original claw foot bathtub. The suite also has a private entrance. Sleeps 4 |

The James Madison Suite |

The James Madison ( 1817-1825) suite is the original second floor bedrooms of the 1790 log cabin. It consists of two large rooms with the original heart pine flooring and exposed beam ceiling. It boasts a king size bed, a queen bed, an antique child's rope bed, child's dresser, and a private bath. This is an ideal family room. Sleeps 5

The Andrew Jackson Suite |

Restoration of the Andrew Jackson suite was completed on 1 April 2008, with period swag curtains, matching chairs, and brass beds (queen and single). The large room boasts a fireplace hearth, private entrance and bath, and opens up to a second floor 40' veranda which provides spectacular pastoral views, cool breezes during the day, and the perfect observatory for the starry southern sky at night. Our Shenandoah Valley Bed and Breakfasts Offer the Following:Conference Room rental: Two large rooms--the Dining Room and the Library--are available for conference use or as training rooms. Video and audio equipment is available. Grounds rental: In the two hundred years of its history, Rosendale has hosted hundreds of weddings, birthday, anniversary, and other celebrations and events involving large numbers of people and requiring plenty of lawn space for tents, outdoor activities, and parking.
